c➂M was envisaged as a creative studio in 2009, and formed as a company in 2011.
Clare Moore is the founding director of c3M and has been practicing for 20 years in London and the UK.
Clare’s first experience of working in a design office was at the end of her 1st year of studies, employed as a summer student, doing design research within CERN planning department, Geneva, Switzerland. During the following summer breaks from University, Clare worked at the McNeish Design Practice, Davis Duncan Harrold, In-House Design, as well as various creative industry positions.
During Clare’s intermediate year, Clare worked at Keppie Design, Glasgow. Gaining great experience working alongside the senior Architect running the new East Renfrewshire Schools projects, Mearns New Junior School, The new ERJV (Edinburgh Royal Infirmary) and various small scale residential feasibilities.
Following Graduation from AAD, Clare moved to London in 2001. Clare joined Squire & Partners, design & competitions team, initially working many planning applications in central London and the South East. This also involved liaising with various planning authorities and local bodies such as CABE, GLA, coordinating public consultations, consultant & project teams.
Clare then moved on to work on projects to a greater detail, as at Project Architect producing pre-tender, tender and construction information. Successful completion of Gordon House and Howick Place works lead to Clare being promoted to an associate in 2008.
In 2009 c➂M was envisaged as a creative studio & research workshop. This was to enable Clare to pursue smaller domestic projects & exciting competitions, whilst still producing built works through commercial practice.
In 2009 c➂M was invited to look at options for a substantial domestic project in Kew. Initially the brief was improvement works to extend the living spaces, and increase the value of the property. This then developed to be a large refurbishment, rear & roof extension, and basement excavation, which is seen as a vehicle and catalyst for launching the studio. The project achieved practical completion in July 2011.
c➂M is currently working on projects from small scale furniture commissions to large scale planning applications // refurbishment projects, in central London.
Recently the studio has branched into marketing, graphic design and product design, we would like to become a strong discipline in the studios future.
Latest built works include; refurbishment of Voreda HQ, light touch interior enhancements @ ‘GRADPAD’ Imperial College, Woodlane, and more recently appointed as lead designer and project manager for the refurbishment of Place2Be HQ, City Road.
